We’re making participation in the Solana validator program even more affordable. The VC fund WebWise Capital is launching a loan for the minimum staking amount – 110 SOL.
To run a validator on mainnet, this exact amount is required, and for many participants, it has been the main barrier. The loan allows you to pass this stage without having the full amount upfront: you receive the necessary SOL, run your validator, and repay the amount with a fixed fee.
How is the amount distributed?
▪ 100 SOL – refundable stake. These funds go into staking and are returned to you after the program ends.
▪ 10 SOL – actual costs. These cover fees, technical, and operational expenses.
Thus, after the program ends:
In the end, the participant’s actual expense is only 10 SOL for costs and 33 SOL in loan interest.
The loan is issued before the validator joins mainnet.
The average transition period from testnet to mainnet is 12-18 months.
It is available only to participants in the Solana validator program and can only be used for validators supported by the DigiU ecosystem.
We’re informing participants about this new opportunity in advance so you can plan your steps. Detailed instructions for applying for the loan and the launch date will be published on the official ecosystem channels closer to the time when validators join mainnet.
DigiU makes the product affordable for everyone who wants to join the Solana validator program.
Stay tuned for updates to be the first to apply for the loan and join mainnet with DigiU.
